So I finished my mountain drawing. It didn't take as long as the first one and I personally don't think it's as good as the first but still good none the less. This one only took around 6 hours to finish.

I made a few adjustments to the original and again, couldn't fit all of the image onto the paper. I think it turned out relatively well considering I didn't spend much time on it.

I am starting a new creation in the form of a shade drawing of a mountain lake scene I found. It's somewhat complicated but I believe it's doable. Hopefully it won't take as long as the last one did and I will have pictures of I ready within the week. The picture I am looking at is a Canadian pencil artist who also has a blog that he posts stuff on frequently from people to sceneries.

So after 5 days and around 14 total hours of looking back and forth from a screen to my paper, my first drawing is complete. I was rather satisfied with the outcome and believe its similar enough to the original. Due to scaling problems caused by myself, I wasn't able to put the entire picture on the page but I was able to fit most of it on there.

Here's the original produced by Sonja:

I couldn't fit the entire picture to the paper but it still works. I also couldn't rotate it so this will do.

Hey blog followers,

I will be blogging about my attempts to recreate pencil drawings of semi-famous to not famous artists who I find appealing on Google. My first attempt will be on a drawing by a person who goes by Sonja. Shes an artist from Sweden who has her own blog on this website and frequently posts various pieces of art from water colors to pencil drawings that I, myself, find appealing and very well done. She uses anything in her creations from flowers to the broken down castle I am attempting to recreate. Hopefully I will finish soon and post a picture compared to the one she created and see how it turns out.
